TERMS OF SERVICE – Please read fully

1.                  The submission of any project to M2 Editing constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Service.

2.                  M2 Editing reserves the right to refuse any work we deem to be illegal or unethical.

3.                  The client retains complete ownership and copyright of the client’s submitted materials, regardless of the level of service M2 Editing performs on the material.

4.                  M2 Editing in no way endorses the contents of any materials we edit.  M2 Editing does not assume responsibility for any threatening, libellous, obscene, harassing, offensive, factually incorrect, or otherwise illegal or inappropriate content, any infringement of intellectual property rights arising therefrom, any crime facilitated thereby, or any subsequent use thereof upon completion of M2 Editing’s work.

5.                  M2 Editing supports the principles of academic integrity.  It is the responsibility of the individual client to ensure that the use of M2 Editing services does not contravene the rules and regulations set out by the client’s academic institution.

6.                   M2 Editing is not liable to the client for any failure to fulfill its contractual obligations if such failure is due to fire, flood, law, governmental or political action, act of God or any other cause beyond the control of M2 Editing.  In the event of such an occurrence, M2 Editing will complete the work as soon as is practical and will make all reasonable efforts to inform the client of the situation.

7.                  It is the client’s responsibility to make a final inspection of the project.  Any recommendations made by M2 Editing are recommendations only.  It is the client’s responsibility to determine whether or not to implement any such recommendations.

8.                  Anyone who submits material to M2 Editing agrees not to hold M2 Editing or its staff responsible for any act or omission in relation to the project which results in the client suffering any loss or penalty.

9.                  M2 Editing is not responsible for any consequences that result from rejecting our changes or suggestions.

10.              Anyone who submits material to M2 Editing accepts that while M2 Editing will exercise due diligence in all work we undertake, we are not responsible for the reception the material receives from the client’s editors, employers, instructors or other readers.

11.              M2 Editing does not guarantee that any project will receive a specific grade or other result.

12.              Payment is due at the time specified by M2 Editing to the client.  In cases where full or partial payment is due prior to materials being returned to the client, M2 Editing reserves the right to withhold completed materials until payment is made.

13.              Project quotations will be made on the basis of the information supplied by the client.  M2 Editing reserves the right to revise quotations, either prior to the commencement of work or during the assignment, in the event that the project requirements change or differ from the information used to formulate the original quotation.

14.              Additional expenses (e.g. stationary, printing, packing and postage, telephone charges, mileage to and from onsite work or meetings, etc.) incurred on behalf of the client will be billed, at cost, to the client.

15.              M2 Editing reserves the right to increase fees without prior written notice to all existing clients.  Any such change will only apply to contracts undertaken after the date of the change.

16.              These Terms of Service and disclaimers, as well as the website itself, may be modified, amended and/or updated by M2 Editing at any time without notice, provided that any modification, amendment and/or update will only be effective for contracts undertaken after the change has been posted on the website.
